LIFT SOMEONE ELSE'S HEAD

One of the easiest things to do after God blesses us...
...is to keep the blessing to ourselves.
We enjoy the comfort.
Celebrate the breakthrough.
Move on with life.
Meanwhile, someone nearby is carrying the same burden God once helped us carry.
Could it be that your testimony is meant to become someone else's lifeline?
God never lifts a person merely for that person's benefit.
He lifts people so they can become lifters of others.
This is one of the beautiful rhythms of God's Kingdom.
The comfort you receive becomes comfort you can give.
The mercy you experience becomes mercy you can extend.
The encouragement God speaks into your heart becomes encouragement you speak into someone else's life.
Paul reminds us to bear one another's burdens.
Notice he doesn't say we should carry everyone's life for them.
Rather, we are called to walk beside the weary, strengthening them until they can stand again.
When God lifted David, David strengthened mighty men.
When Jesus restored Peter, Peter strengthened the early Church.
Every divine lifting carries a divine responsibility.
Your healing is meant to inspire hope.
Your restoration is meant to restore others.
Your testimony is meant to point people back to God.
Sometimes lifting someone's head doesn't require extraordinary gifts.
It may be a phone call.
A heartfelt prayer.
A listening ear.
A meal for a struggling family.
A word of encouragement to someone who feels forgotten.
Many people don't need a sermon today.
They simply need someone who will remind them that they are not alone.
God often answers broken hearts through compassionate people.
Why shouldn't that person be you?
A lifted life is never a self-centered life.
The more God heals your heart, the more room He creates in it for others.
True spiritual maturity is not measured by how much you know.
It is measured by how much of God's love flows through you into the lives of those around you.
One of the clearest signs that your head has truly been lifted is that you begin looking for bowed heads to lift.
Who has God placed in my life that needs encouragement, hope, or practical love today?
Father, thank You for every time You lifted me when I could not lift myself. Help me never to forget those moments. Make me sensitive to the burdens people around me are carrying. Fill my words with hope, my hands with compassion, and my heart with generosity. Let my life become a channel through which You continue lifting weary souls. In Jesus' name, Amen
God lifts your head so your eyes can see those whose heads are still bowed.
