📖 Scripture: 

2 Cor. 9:7 - So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. (NKJV)



Sometimes people give outwardly while resisting inwardly.


The action happens… but the heart is absent.



💡 LIGHTDROP INSIGHT:


God looks deeper than appearance.


Two people may give the same amount, yet heaven responds differently because motive matters.


Love transforms giving from pressure into worship.


God desires willingness, not forced performance.


People help while secretly angry.

Serve while feeling manipulated.

Give while expecting validation.


Eventually the heart becomes drained.



⚖ CORE SHIFT:


The shift happens when giving becomes sincere instead of pressured.


You stop performing goodness and start reflecting God’s nature.


The lie breaking today:

“Only the amount matters.”


No. The heart matters deeply.



🕯 REFLECTION:


If my giving truly comes from love…

why do I sometimes feel resentment afterward?



🙏 PRAYER:


Dear Father, please cleanse my intentions. Teach me to give out of joy rather than obligation. 

Help my heart stay open and willing. Amen.
