Day 144
🌧 Title: Thank You for Your Control
📖 Scripture:
Psalm 115:3 - But our God is in heaven; He does whatever He pleases. (NKJV)
You want peace… but deep down, you still feel responsible for holding everything together.
Some situations refuse to change no matter how much you think, pray, or try. And slowly, exhaustion begins to grow from carrying things that were never fully in your control.
💡 LIGHTDROP INSIGHT:
God’s control isn’t something that can easily break. He’s not thrown off by the things that throw you off balance.
Psalm 115:3 reminds us that God is in charge, he’s not just sitting back, he’s not absent, and he’s definitely not confused. Even when life feels like a whirlwind for you, heaven isn’t in a state of panic.
We often think that peace comes from having everything under control. But true peace actually comes from trusting the One who sees the whole picture clearly.
This struggle often shows up in the little ways we overthink things:
constantly checking for updates,
replaying conversations in our heads,
fearing the worst possible outcomes,
trying to fix everyone around us,
and carrying the weight of tomorrow before it even arrives.
Sometimes, the anxiety we feel isn’t because our lives are falling apart. It’s because we’re trying to shoulder what only God can hold with steadiness.
⚖️ CORE SHIFT:
Maybe your role was never to control everything.
Maybe your role is simply to trust God while He holds what you cannot.
The burden begins to lift when you realize: God’s control does not weaken because your strength does.
🕯 REFLECTION:
If I truly believe God is in control… why am I still carrying everything like it depends entirely on me?
🙏 PRAYER:
Dear Father, I am tired of trying to hold everything together alone.
Please help me let go of the need to control every little thing.
Teach my heart to find peace in Your unwavering embrace.
✨ LIGHTDROP THOUGHT:
God is steady even when life is not.
