Day 158
⚔ Title: Thank God for the Battles
📖 Scripture:
Psalm 124:1-2; 1Thess. 5:18
Ps.124.1 - "If it had not been the LORD who was on our side," Let Israel now say--
Ps.124.2 - "If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, When men rose up against us,
Sometimes we thank God for victories but forget the battles that created the strength behind those victories.
Nobody enjoys painful seasons.
Nobody prays for pressure.
But some of the strongest parts of you were born in battles you once begged God to remove.
💡 LIGHTDROP INSIGHT:
David looked back and realized something powerful:
“If the Lord had not been on our side…”
The battle did not destroy him because God was secretly sustaining him through it.
Some seasons:
- humbled you,
- stretched you,
- corrected you,
- matured you,
- and deepened your dependence on God.
The pain was real, but so was the grace that carried you through it.
Today, many people are alive but forgetful.
We forget:
- the prayers God answered,
- the danger He prevented,
- the breakdown we survived,
- the doors He opened,
- and the strength He quietly supplied during hard seasons.
Gratitude changes how we see our journey.
⚖️ CORE SHIFT:
What if the battle you hated became the process God used to build you?
Some storms came to:
- strengthen your faith,
- expose weakness,
- teach endurance,
- and prepare you for greater assignments.
Not every battle was punishment.
Some battles were preparation.
🕯 REFLECTION:
If God truly carried me through past battles… why do I still act like I survived by my own strength?
🙏 PRAYER:
Father, thank You for every battle that built me instead of breaking me.
Thank You for sustaining me through seasons I thought I would not survive.
Forgive me for complaining without recognizing Your hand upon my life.
Teach me to carry gratitude even in difficult seasons. Amen
✨ LIGHTDROP THOUGHT:
Some battles were painful, but without them, you would never become who you are today.
