Thank God You Survived It

⚔ LIGHTDROP DEVOTIONAL

📅 June 14, 2026

Day 165

⚔ Title: Thank God You Survived It

📖 Scripture: Psalm 103:1-4
1 - Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name!
2 - Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits:
3 - Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases,
4 - Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,
📖 Further reading: Lam. 3:22-23

Sometimes we become so focused on what is still missing that we forget how much God has already preserved.

There were seasons you thought would destroy you emotionally, financially, mentally, or spiritually.

Yet somehow… you are still standing.

💡 LIGHTDROP INSIGHT:

David told his soul:

“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits.”

Gratitude is powerful because it reminds us that survival itself is evidence of mercy.

Many battles came suddenly.
Many changes happened without warning.

Yet God remained faithful through every unstable season.

Sometimes we thank God only for visible breakthroughs while ignoring:

- the accidents we escaped,
- the depression we survived,
- the doors that did not destroy us,
- the silent battles nobody knew about,
- and the strength heaven supplied quietly.

Not every testimony is loud.
Some testimonies are simply: “I survived.”

⚖️ CORE SHIFT:

Gratitude changes perspective.

Instead of only mourning what changed, you begin to recognize the God who remained constant through every change.

You may not be where you want yet, but God has still been good.

🕯 REFLECTION:

Have I become so consumed by current struggles that I no longer recognize how faithful God has already been?

🙏 PRAYER:

Father, thank You for preserving me through seasons I never imagined surviving.
Thank You for unseen protection, hidden strength, and daily mercy.
Teach me to remain grateful even while I am still growing and waiting.

✨ LIGHTDROP THOUGHT:

Sometimes the greatest testimony is simply this: “God kept me alive through it all.”

When Miracles Become Normal

🧠 LIGHTDROP DEVOTIONAL Theme: The Battle Against Forgetfulness Focus: The Blessings You Stopped Counting 📅 July 1, 2026 | Day 182 🧠 Title: When Miracles Become Normal 📖 Scripture:  Psalm 103:2 - Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: (NKJV) There was a time when you prayed for what you now overlook. The job, the health, the relationships even another day to live. The blessing didn't change. Your attention did. Sometimes our greatest loss isn't that God stopped blessing us, but that we stopped noticing. 💡 LightDrop Insight: David first spoke to his own soul: "Forget not all His benefits." He knew forgetfulness is often a heart problem, not a memory problem. God's forgiveness, protection, provision, and mercy can become so familiar that we treat them as ordinary. Remembering God's goodness is an act of worship that keeps gratitude alive. We easily count what is missing but forget what remains. We focus on unanswered prayers while over...

Your Past Is Preaching to You

🧠 LIGHTDROP DEVOTIONAL Theme: The Battle Against Forgetfulness Focus: The Forgotten Testimonies Still Speaking 📅 July 20, 2026 | Day 201 🧠 Title: Your Past Is Preaching to You 📖 Scripture: 1Sam. 17:37 - Moreover David said, "The LORD, who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine." And Saul said to David, "Go, and the LORD be with you!" (NKJV) Sometimes we're desperately searching for a new word from God while ignoring what He has already spoken through our own lives. 💡 LIGHTDROP INSIGHT: Before David confronted Goliath, he listened to the testimony of his own journey. "The Lord who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will rescue me from this Philistine." David didn't just remember events, he recognized a pattern. Every previous rescue revealed something about God's character. Your history with God is not random. It is a message that cont...

Your Survival Is Also a Blessing

🧠 LIGHTDROP DEVOTIONAL Theme: The Battle Against Forgetfulness Focus: The Blessings You Stopped Counting 📅 July 10, 2026 | Day 191 🧠 Title: Your Survival Is Also a Blessing 📖 Scripture: Psalm 124:1–2, 8 1 - "If it had not been the LORD who was on our side," Let Israel now say-- 2 - "If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, When men rose up against us, 8 - Our help is in the name of the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. We celebrate promotions, new houses, and answered prayers. But how often do we celebrate simply surviving the battles that almost broke us? 💡 LIGHTDROP INSIGHT: Not every blessing comes wrapped in increase. Some blessings come as preservation. God doesn't only bless by giving more; He also blesses by keeping you through what should have destroyed you. Your survival carries the fingerprints of His mercy. Think about the disappointments, illnesses, financial struggles, or emotional battles you thought you wouldn't survive. Yet here you ...
