GOD OFTEN SENDS A PERSON BEFORE HE SENDS A BREAKTHROUGH

Eccles. 4:9-10 (NKJV)

"Two are better than one, Because they have a good reward for their labor."

"For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, For he has no one to help him up."

Exodus 17:11-12 (NKJV)

"And so it was, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed; and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.

"But Moses' hands became heavy; so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it. And Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun."

Sometimes we pray,

"Lord, help me."

And we expect lightning from heaven.

But instead...

A friend calls.

A mentor speaks.

A stranger encourages.

A family member shows up.

Could it be that the answer to your prayer arrived wearing ordinary clothes?

God certainly performs miracles directly.

But throughout Scripture, He often chooses to work through people.

When Moses grew weary, Aaron and Hur lifted his hands.

When the paralytic could not reach Jesus, four friends carried him.

When Elijah became discouraged, God sent an angel to strengthen him.

The God who lifts heads frequently does so through the hands, words, and kindness of others.

This is why isolation is dangerous.

The enemy loves to separate people because isolation weakens perspective, drains courage, and magnifies despair.

God created us not merely to receive encouragement but to become it.

Sometimes you are the one being lifted.

Other times, you are the one God uses to lift someone else.

Think about the people who changed your life.

Perhaps they never gave you money.

Perhaps they never solved your problems.

But they believed in you when you struggled to believe in yourself.

They prayed with you.

Listened without judging you.

Spoke hope when your heart had gone silent.

Those moments were not coincidences.

They were expressions of God's love through human hands.

When you begin to recognize people as one of God's gifts, you stop trying to walk through life alone.

You become humble enough to receive help.

And compassionate enough to offer it.

God lifts His children.

Sometimes He simply chooses another child to do the lifting.

Have I been rejecting the help God has already sent because I expected Him to work in a different way?

Father, thank You for the people You have placed in my life. Help me never take them for granted. Give me the humility to receive encouragement and the compassion to encourage others. Make me an instrument of hope, someone through whom You lift weary hearts and strengthen tired souls. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Never underestimate the person God places beside you. They may be the answer to a prayer you forgot you prayed.
