LIFTED FOR A PURPOSE

Esther 4:14 (NKJV)

"For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father's house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?"

Ephes. 2:10 (NKJV)

"For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them."

Most people want God to lift them.

Few ask Him why.

We pray for influence.

Success.

Open doors.

Promotion.

But God's greatest concern is not how high He lifts you.

It is why He lifts you.

Throughout Scripture, God never lifted people merely to make them comfortable.

He lifted them to make them useful.

Joseph was lifted to preserve nations.

Esther was lifted to save a people.

David was lifted to shepherd Israel.

Daniel was lifted to display God's wisdom in a pagan empire.

Notice the pattern:

God's lifting is always connected to His purpose.

Many people seek elevation because they want a better life.

God grants elevation because He desires a greater impact.

Promotion in God's Kingdom is never the destination.

It is the platform from which His purposes are revealed.

The greatest tragedy is not living a small life.

It is receiving a great opportunity but never discovering why God entrusted it to you.

Perhaps you've been praying for a larger business, a stronger ministry, greater influence, or financial increase.

Those are not wrong desires.

But imagine receiving all of them without understanding God's assignment.

Influence without purpose becomes pride.

Success without stewardship becomes distraction.

Blessing without obedience becomes waste.

Every gift God places in your hands carries a responsibility to reflect His heart.

When your purpose becomes greater than your comfort, everything changes.

You stop asking,

"How can God bless me?"

And begin asking,

"How can my life become a blessing?"

That shift transforms promotion into ministry, success into stewardship, and influence into eternal impact.

God does not simply lift heads.

He lifts lives so they can lift others.

If God answers every prayer for increase, will my life point more people to Him—or simply make my own life more comfortable?

Father, never allow me to pursue promotion without purpose. Lift me only in ways that fulfill Your will for my life. Make me a faithful steward of every opportunity, every gift, and every influence You entrust to me. Let my life become a channel through which others encounter Your goodness. In Jesus' name. Amen

God never lifts a life merely to be admired. He lifts it to become an instrument of His glory.
