DON'T LOWER YOUR HEAD BEFORE THE FINISH LINE

"And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart."

James 1:12 (NKJV)

"Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him."

Sometimes the greatest temptation isn't to quit God.

It's to quit too soon.

You've prayed.

You've waited.

You've obeyed.

You've remained faithful.

Yet the harvest still seems far away.

Weariness begins whispering,

"What's the point?"

Paul understood something about the journey of faith.

The greatest enemy of harvest is often not failure.

It is fatigue.

Many people don't stop because God failed them.

They stop because discouragement convinced them that nothing was happening.

But notice God's promise:

"In due season we shall reap."

Due season belongs to God.

Faithfulness belongs to us.

Our responsibility is not to force the harvest.

It is to remain faithful until it comes.

The God who lifted your head yesterday will also strengthen your heart to finish what He has called you to do.

A lifted head is not only a symbol of confidence.

It is also a picture of endurance.

It refuses to bow to discouragement.

Perhaps you've been serving faithfully without recognition.

Praying for a loved one who hasn't changed.

Building something that is growing slower than you hoped.

Trying again after repeated disappointment.

Don't confuse slow growth with no growth.

Seeds do their greatest work beneath the surface before they ever appear above it.

God is often accomplishing more than you can presently see.

Perseverance is hope wearing work clothes.

It keeps showing up.

Keeps believing.

Keeps obeying.

Not because the journey is easy, but because God is faithful.

The head that remains lifted is the head that remembers:

God finishes what He starts.

Where have I become weary, and how is God inviting me to trust Him for one more step instead of giving up?

Father, strengthen me where I have grown tired. Renew my endurance and restore my joy in following You. Help me not to measure my progress by what I can see but by Your unfailing faithfulness. Give me grace to keep sowing, keep serving, and keep believing until Your appointed harvest comes. Lift my head whenever discouragement tries to pull it down. In Jesus' name. Amen

The harvest belongs to those who keep walking when weariness tells them to stop.
