PRAISE IS THE POSTURE OF THE LIFTED
It is possible to receive God's blessings...
...and slowly stop celebrating His goodness.
We thank Him for answered prayers.
Then life gets busy.
The miracle becomes normal.
The breakthrough becomes yesterday's news.
Soon, praise becomes occasional instead of continual.
But a lifted head should produce lifted hands.
Praise is not merely a response to what God has done.
It is a recognition of who God has always been.
David said,
"I will bless the Lord at all times."
Not only in peaceful seasons.
Not only after victories.
Not only when prayers are answered.
At all times.
Why?
Because God's worthiness does not rise and fall with our circumstances.
Many people think praise is for emotional moments.
Scripture reveals something deeper.
Praise is the posture of a heart that remembers.
It remembers every unseen rescue.
Every answered prayer.
Every closed door that became protection.
Every trial that became transformation.
Every morning mercy.
Every undeserved grace.
People with lifted heads never outgrow gratitude.
The higher God lifts them, the lower they bow in worship.
Look around your life today.
Perhaps there are still prayers you're waiting on.
But there are also prayers God has already answered.
You may not have everything you desire.
But you have countless reasons to praise.
The breath in your lungs.
The strength to keep going.
The peace that carried you through difficult nights.
The forgiveness you did not deserve.
The hope you still possess.
Gratitude doesn't wait until life is perfect.
It discovers God's fingerprints in ordinary moments.
Praise changes your perspective.
It shifts your attention from what is absent to the God who has always been present.
A grateful heart cannot remain spiritually bowed for long.
Every sincere act of thanksgiving lifts your eyes back to the One who has faithfully carried you.
Praise doesn't ignore life's battles.
It simply refuses to let those battles become bigger than God.
When was the last time I spent more time thanking God than asking Him for something?
Father, today I choose gratitude. Thank You for every visible and invisible blessing You have poured into my life. Thank You for Your faithfulness that has never failed, Your mercy that greets me every morning, and Your grace that has carried me farther than my strength ever could. Guard my heart from forgetfulness. Let praise become my lifestyle, thanksgiving become my language, and worship become the natural response of my soul. May I never forget that every good thing I have is a gift from Your loving hand. In Jesus' name. Amen
A head that God has lifted should never forget to bow in gratitude before Him.
