WHEN A PROMISE IS ALL YOU HAVE

2Cor. 1:20 (NKJV)

"For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us."

Rom. 4:20-21 (NKJV)

"He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God,"

"And being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform."

There are seasons when you don't see progress.

You don't feel stronger.

Nothing around you seems to be changing.

All you have... is a promise from God.

And sometimes, a promise can feel painfully small compared to a very real problem.

A promise is more than encouraging words.

It is God's character expressed in words.

When God makes a promise, He is placing His integrity behind it.

People make promises based on good intentions.

God makes promises based on His unchanging nature.

Abraham waited for years before Isaac arrived.

Joshua waited before the walls of Jericho fell.

Simeon waited before he held the Messiah.

What sustained them?

Not visible evidence.

A spoken promise.

Faith is learning to trust God's voice even when your eyes cannot yet confirm what He has said.

God's promises are not weakened by delay.

They are strengthened by the faith they produce in us.

There are days when your bank account says one thing.

Your health says another.

Your emotions say something else.

But God's promise speaks a higher reality.

This is why believers don't live by circumstances alone.

We live by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.

When everything around you is uncertain, His promises become the anchor that keeps your soul from drifting.

God lifts your head by giving you something stronger than today's reality.

He gives you tomorrow's certainty.

His promise becomes the bridge between your present struggle and your future testimony.

Which has greater influence over my heart today; what I see, or what God has said?

Father, thank You for every promise You have spoken over my life. When I become discouraged by what I see, remind me of what You have said. Strengthen my faith to hold on until Your Word is fulfilled. Let Your promises become the anchor of my soul and the song of my heart. In Jesus' name. Amen

God's promises are often the first thing He sends before He sends the miracle.
