COURAGE HAS A COMPANY

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go."
Joshua 1:9 (NKJV)

–––

You know what you should do.

But you're afraid.

Afraid of failing.
Afraid of rejection.
Afraid of what people will say.

Sometimes the problem isn't that you lack courage.

You have forgotten who is with you.

God didn't tell Joshua to be courageous because the assignment would be easy.

He gave him a reason:

“The LORD your God is with you.”

Biblical courage is not pretending that danger doesn't exist.

It is knowing that God's presence is greater than what you are facing.

You may need to have the conversation.

Start the business.

Make the decision.

Set the boundary.

Take the step.

Fear will always give you reasons to remain where you are.

But God's presence gives you a reason to move.

Here is the SHIFT:

Stop waiting until you feel fearless.

Courage is moving forward while trusting the God who goes with you.

CARRY THE LIGHT:

  • If God is truly with me, what step am I still refusing to take because I have made my fear bigger than His presence?

Lord, strengthen my heart.
Where fear has held me back, remind me that I do not walk alone.
Give me courage to obey, move, speak and act when You lead me.
Let the awareness of Your presence become greater than the fear before me.
Amen.

Courage grows when you become more conscious of Who is with you than what is against you.
