DO IT WELL

THE BEAUTY OF GOD UPON US

24/9/2026 | Day 267

God’s influence should elevate the quality of what we produce.

DO IT WELL

“Do you see someone skilled in their work? They will serve before kings; they will not serve before officials of low rank.”
Prov. 22:29 (NIV)

There is a difference between merely finishing something and doing it well.
Too often, we settle for, “It’s good enough.” Yet God may desire His beauty to be reflected in the quality of our work.

Excellence is not perfection. It is offering our best with what we have. It is caring about the details, remaining teachable, correcting our mistakes, and continually growing.

Excellence declares:

“If this is in my hands, it is worth doing well.”

Whether we are cooking, cleaning, building, writing, teaching, preaching, designing, leading, or serving, our work reveals our character. People can often recognize when something has been done with care.

Excellence may not always make us famous, but it makes our work trustworthy.

Here is the SHIFT:

Stop asking,
“Is this good enough?”

Start asking,
“How can I make this better with what I currently have?”

CARRY THE LIGHT:

  • Where have I become comfortable with mediocrity simply because no one has demanded more from me?

Father, place excellence in my hands. Deliver me from carelessness and complacency. Give me the humility to learn, the discipline to improve, and the courage to give my very best. May the quality of my work reflect the beauty of the God I serve.
Amen.

Excellence begins when we treat ordinary work as an opportunity to reflect an extraordinary God.
