LET GOD ESTABLISH IT

Theme:
THE BEAUTY OF GOD UPON US

26/9/2026 | DAY 269

LET GOD ESTABLISH IT

God cares deeply about not just what we start, but also about shaping and solidifying the things that truly matter.

–––

“And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.”
Psalm 90:17 (KJV)

–––

Kicking things off can be thrilling.
Building them takes a lot of patience.
And finishing? That’s where the satisfaction lies.

But establishment? That’s where it gets profound.

It’s when the effort you’ve invested transforms into something steady, fruitful, and resilient. It’s not just about launching an idea; it’s about nurturing it until it takes root, serves a purpose, and leaves a lasting impact.

Psalm 90:17 beautifully intertwines two heartfelt prayers:

“Let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us…”

And then:

“…establish thou the work of our hands.”

This prayer connects what rests upon us with what flows through us.

God’s beauty molds the worker.
The worker then shapes the work.
And we ask God to infuse that work with His strength and endurance.

This goes beyond simply praying:

“Lord, make me successful.”

It’s more like saying:

“Lord, mold me with Your presence, and let the work of my hands reflect Your influence.”

Maybe you’re in the process of building something that others don’t quite grasp yet.

A family.
A business.
A ministry.
A career.
A creative project.
A legacy.
A healthier future.

Don’t measure its worth solely by how visible it is right now. Some things are strengthening beneath the surface long before we can see their progress. Roots take time to grow—and often, lasting fruit begins in those hidden places.

THE SHIFT:

Instead of just asking:
“How big can this become?”

Try asking:
“Can God trust me to build this in a way that reflects Him?”

Because establishing something isn’t just about making it endure.

It’s about transforming into the kind of person and creating the kind of thing, that is worthy of lasting.

CARRY THE LIGHT:

If God granted my prayer to establish the work of my hands, would the outcome showcase His beauty or merely my ambition?

Father, may Your beauty shine upon me and bless the work I do with my hands. Grant me the wisdom to create, the discipline to persevere, the humility to learn from my mistakes, and the grace to see it through to the end. Help me to establish what truly comes from You and to let go of anything driven by mere ambition. May the fruits of my labor reflect Your character, fulfill Your purpose, and endure beyond my own name. Amen.

When God’s beauty shines upon the worker, His influence becomes evident in the work
