THE BEAUTY OF GOD UPON US

THE BEAUTY OF LOVE
God's beauty becomes visible in how we treat people.
“And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.”
Col. 3:14 (NKJV)
–––
It is easy to love people who love us.
Easy to be kind to people who are kind to us.
Easy to forgive when the apology comes.
But what happens when love becomes inconvenient?
What does your response reveal when someone hurts you, misunderstands you, ignores you, or treats you unfairly?
Love is not merely an emotion.
Biblically, love is a way of becoming.
It changes how we speak.
How we respond.
How we forgive.
How we treat people who cannot reward us.
Jesus didn't tell us to love only the lovable.
He showed us a love that moved toward people even when they were broken.
This is where God's beauty becomes visible.
Not merely in our worship.
In our conduct.
You can sing about love and still speak harshly at home.
You can preach forgiveness and still keep a private record of someone's offense.
You can talk about grace while constantly giving people the punishment you think they deserve.
Sometimes the greatest test of our spiritual growth is not what happens in church.
It is what happens when someone presses the wrong button.
Here is the SHIFT:
Stop asking:
“Does this person deserve my love?”
Start asking:
“What would God's love look like through me right now?”
You don't love because everyone deserves it.
You love because His character is being formed in you.
CARRY THE LIGHT:
If God's love is truly growing in me, why do certain people still have the power to turn me into someone I don't recognize?
Father, let Your love become more than something I talk about.
Let it govern my reactions, conversations, relationships, and responses.
Where I have become bitter, soften me.
Where I have become impatient, teach me.
Where I struggle to forgive, give me grace.
Let people encounter something of Your heart through me.
Amen.
The beauty of God's love is most visible when loving is not convenient.
