THE BEAUTY OF GOD UPON US

PEACE IN THE PRESSURE

"You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You."
Isaiah 26:3 (NKJV)

–––

Sometimes the problem isn't only what is happening around you.

It is what is happening inside you because of it.

The situation has not changed.

But your peace can.

Peace is not the absence of pressure.

It is the stability that comes from knowing Who is present in the pressure.

When your mind is fixed on God, your circumstances stop being the only voice speaking to you.

Fear says, “What if everything goes wrong?”

Faith says, “God is still here.”

Bills may still need paying.

The conversation may still need to happen.

The answer may still be delayed.

But panic does not have to become your response.

God's presence gives your heart somewhere to stand while life is moving around you.

Here is the SHIFT:

You don't always need God to change the situation immediately.

Sometimes you need His presence to change what the situation is doing inside you.

CARRY THE LIGHT:

  • If God is with me in this situation, why am I allowing the situation to have more influence over my mind than His presence?

Lord, quiet the noise within me.
When circumstances become overwhelming, anchor my mind in You.
Let Your presence become stronger in my awareness than the pressure around me.
Give me peace while I walk through what I cannot yet change.
Amen.

LIGHTDROP THOUGHT:

God's presence may not remove the pressure immediately, but it can keep the pressure from ruling you.
