WHAT ARE YOU BUILDING FOR OTHERS?

THE BEAUTY OF GOD UPON US

WHAT ARE YOU BUILDING FOR OTHERS?

“For in this the saying is true: "One sows and another reaps.'
John 4:37 (NKJV)

---

We naturally want to enjoy the results of our labor.

We want to see the harvest, receive the recognition, and enjoy the reward.

But what if some of the things God asks you to build are not primarily for you?

What if part of your assignment is to prepare a future you may never personally experience?

Legacy requires a willingness to plant seeds whose full harvest you may never see.

Someone may stand on a foundation you laid.

Someone may benefit from knowledge you developed.

Someone may walk through a door you helped create.

Someone may go further because you were willing to go first.

That is not wasted labor.

That is legacy.

Parents sacrifice for children they hope will go further.

Mentors invest in people who may eventually surpass them.

Teachers transfer knowledge they may never see fully multiplied.

Kingdom work is often generational.

You may not enjoy the full harvest of what you build, but if your seed helps another person rise, your labor has not been wasted.

THE SHIFT:

Stop asking:

“What will I personally gain from this?”

Start asking:

“What foundation am I leaving for someone coming after me?”

CARRY THE LIGHT:

Look beyond today's reward.

What am I building today that could make someone else's journey easier tomorrow?

Then take one practical step toward building it.

Father, give me the grace to build beyond myself. Help me plant seeds whose harvest may extend beyond my own lifetime. Teach me to value foundations as much as results, and let my labor become a platform upon which others can rise. Make my life fruitful across generations.
Amen.

Legacy begins when you become willing to build what others may one day stand upon.
