Anchor Scripture:

OCTOBER 25, 2026 | DAY 298

Today’s Light:
GRATITUDE CHANGES WHAT YOU SEE

Psalm 100:1–5 (NKJV)
- Make a joyful shout to the LORD, all you lands!
- Serve the LORD with gladness; Come before His presence with singing.
- Know that the LORD, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
- Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
- For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.

–––

Have you become so focused on what is still wrong that you have forgotten what God has already done right?

Sometimes, the unanswered prayer becomes louder than the answered ones. We count our disappointments more carefully than our blessings. We remember the doors that closed but overlook the ones God opened.

Before you enter another battle, pause and look back. You may discover that the God you are asking to help you today has already carried you through battles you once thought would destroy you.

Psalm 100:4 says, “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise.”

Notice the instruction: enter with thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving is not merely what we do after receiving an answer. It is how we acknowledge God's goodness even while some answers are still pending.

Verse 5 gives us the reason: “For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.”

Here is the connection to this week's theme: the God whose mercy has sustained your generation is worthy of your gratitude as you trust Him with the next.

Gratitude does not deny the battle. It reminds you that the battle is not the whole story.

Perhaps your business has not grown as expected, your family is facing challenges, or your prayers for your children seem unanswered.

It is easy to let today's pressure erase yesterday's testimonies.

But what if you began counting what remains instead of only mourning what is missing? The strength to keep going, the people who stood by you, the lessons you learned, the opportunities you still have, and the grace to begin again are all reasons to give thanks.

You do not need a perfect life to recognize a faithful God.

HERE IS THE SHIFT:

FROM: "I will praise God when everything is settled."

TO: ,"I will thank God because His goodness remains, even while I trust Him for what is unsettled."

When gratitude becomes your posture, your problems no longer have the authority to define your entire story.

CARRY THE LIGHT:

If you can remember every disappointment but struggle to name three things God has done for you, what has your attention been feeding?

TODAY, I WILL
Write down three specific things I am grateful to God for and thank Him for each one in prayer.

Father, forgive me for allowing unanswered prayers to overshadow Your faithfulness. Open my eyes to the mercies I have overlooked. Teach me to praise You sincerely, not only when life is easy but also while I am trusting You through difficult seasons. Let my life and my gratitude become a testimony of Your goodness to the generation coming after me. In Jesus' name, Amen.

“Never let what God has not done yet make you forget what He has already done.”
